• Fiesta On Bidayuh's Progress in Sarawak
  KUCHING, March 2 (Bernama) -- The smooth progress of the Bidayuh community in Sarawak, spanning over 45 years, will be portrayed at the inagural 'Pesta Berumuh' or farming fiesta. The event will be celebrated on March 21, by the community in Serian, about 65km from here. Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot, who is also the fiesta's organising committee chairman, said the festival would be turned into an annual event for inclusion in the state's tourism calendar.   KUCHING, 2 Mac (Bernama) -- Kejayaan yang dicapai dan dikecapi oleh masyarakat Bidayuh di Sarawak sejak lebih 45 tahun lalu akan dipaparkan pada "Pesta Berumuh" atau pesta menuai, kata Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Sarawak Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot.   KUCHING 2 Mac - Seramai 6,000 pengunjung dari sekitar Kuching, Serian, Bau dan Lundu dijangka menghadiri Pesta Berumuh anjuran Kesatuan Kebangsaan Dayak Bidayuh (DBNA) di Stadium Mini Serian pada 21 hingga 23 Mac ini.   KUCHING: Sarawak’s Bidayuh community will hold the first-ever ‘Berumuh’ festival to showcase their culture, traditions and progress at the end of this month. ‘Berumuh’ means farming in Bidayuh and is synonymous with padi planting. • 15,000 expected at Bidayuh farming fiesta
  KUCHING: The inaugural Pesta Berumuh, a showcase of Bidayuh culture, heritage and arts at Serian Mini Stadium on March 20 to 23, is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors including foreign tourists. The event publicity officer Joseph Beron said the Bidayuh festival was an occasion to honour their forefathers who left legacies in the form of fruit orchards, villages and native customary rights land to the community.
