Conclusion

Today, Bidayuh have freed themselves from both physical and informative isolation.  The tide of global information has reached the once far-flung and isolated villages on the valleys and mountains of Sarawak?s remote interiors.  It is time for us to take stock of our perception towards our material culture especially in matters related to our traditional costumes.  We must march with time.

It is hoped that the creativity of the past will inspire us to produce a costume that will not only bring pride to the new generations of Bidayuh for today?s fashion, but also to enrich our inheritance of ancient belongings like those costume accessories (e.g. beads, silver belts) and the ancient artifacts (e.g. brass, silver wares and many others).  The modern traditional costume should retain its ethnical uniqueness but at the same time, a person wearing the costume will have the opinion to be wearing a modern traditional attire for an important function of modern Sarawak.
