I have read the Borneo Post newspaper on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, page 3 which caried the main title Dawos pledges to do his best. SIBURAN: The battle between two 'old friends' in Mambong ended with BN's Dr James Dawos Mamit routing Mangan Ngandok of STAR by a handsome majority of 9,098 votes.
...."basic infrastructure are all in place now and they only need to be improved such as roads to be sealed and provide electricity and treated water to more areas," he added....but to for me as a local from Kampung Sait, I really hope that the MP for kawasan Mambong Dr James Dawos Mamit who won the battle know the need for this kampung people (Kpg Sait, Bojong, Rejoi and Semban) as we never feel the road, electricity and treated water supply to our door step. Where is the road, electricity and this treated water supply which they mention? We from this 4 kampung walked by foot day and night and this MP didn't know that. What they thing is that all bidayuh kampung especially in Kuching area already have this basic infrastructure. So, as an ordinary kampung people I feed very sad with what happened to our kampung people. But after this, I really hope that the Barisan Nasional (BN) do what they promised to our people.
