Culture of FEAR....and paralysis

Dear hearsay;
Sayangnya hearsay, that you say it is "proven that we don't have someone who knows about bidayuh boundaries". Those of us who take a little bit of trouble to find out would know where the Bidayuh kampungs are! Just go to the District office, Medical Office, Agriculture, Education and then use a little bit of intel and you should know where the Bidayuh kampungs are! Yous should also know non-Bidayuh kampungs from Lundu all the way to Bukit Bengunan.

From the Statistic Dept we know there are ~180,000 Bidayuh in Sarawak. Of this number about 90,000 would be olf enough to be voters! Take away about 10,00 Bidayuh diasporas, and that leaves us with about 80,000 voters. Assuming only 70% of these potential voters have registered with Election Commission, that works out to about 56,000 registered voters.

Now then, 56,000 voters is not enough. Why? For rural area this would only constitute TWO MP seats!

BUT, you should know that Lundu District is Bidayuh (Salako-Lara) majority area, so is Bau, Pedawan and Serian!

What this means is that these areas should be represented by the Bidayuh majority! Agree or not?

If you agree, then all the other communities within the Bidayuh majority area should support the Bidayuh. Right? They should FEAR us! We have the number!

If the Melanau can do it, so can we! After all the Bidayuh are no less smarter than the Melano! We should not start thinking about "split and conquer". This is "old" mentality! This is "strategi lapok". The Melano did not use this "split and conquer" strategy at all! We MUST be aware of this! They use smart and contemporary strategy. This is call "politic of development" or to be more appropriate "inclusive politic". The prinical way of delivering this strategy is to form a "Triumvirate" consisting of Pehin Sri Taib (Melano/Malay), Tan Sri Jabu (Dayak) and Tan Sri Chan (Chinese). This strategy works very well, because the Melanau are smart, because as a minority, they are acutely aware of the needs for support from the Dayaks, Chinese and Malays! But sharing some power with the Dayaks, Chinese and Malays, the Melanaus manage to administer Sarawak very well! The Melanau have ruled Sarawak for the last 40 years. If everything goes according to plan, hopefully they will continue to adminster Sarawak for the next 40 years, while waiting for the Dayaks, Chinese and Malays to mature in their political thinking!

Right now, the Dayaks cannot be trusted to rule Sarawak! Why? They may get too euphoric and then spends years getting palaued in celebration! Then Sarwak will be famously known as the "land of the palaued".

The Chinese cannot be trusted to rule Sarawak too! Why? Because, their whole culture is to enrich themselve at whatever cost to the environment and people around them, irrespective of race and religion! That is the truth! We cannot have them rule Sarawak, otherwise, the state with be poorly administered! Chinese don,t make good administrators. They are great enterpreneurs, businessmen, but poor leaders!

Malay! Sorry to be brutally honest, but the Malays are a little lazy (even Tun Dr. Mahathir say so!), too engrossed with pekara remeh temeh, spend too much time dressing up, too egoistic, too much rami rami. They seems to have superiority complex!

So we don,t have choice. We have to support thje Melano. Siapa lagi? Maybe Orang ulu can provide good leadership. BUT Bidayuh should be as excellent as the Melanau in providing leadership. We Bidayuh don,t have excess egoistic baggages to carry around! We are small enough to realise we need the support of others! We are close enough with the Malays, to have mutual respect and understanding.

I say, I would support a Bidayuh CM. But how to proceed when hearsay, is so scared! Everytime, we talk, discuss things, he always bring up the ISA monster. If we continue to harp at ISA we will forever be a coward race! Forever living under fear. Do you know why Al Qaeda is so emotionally powerful? Because, a few people are willing to sacrifice their lives for future political gain!

We MUST be prepared to loss our live. He who is willing to lose live will gain lives! He who is scared of losing life with lose lives!

What history are you talking about? You must understand that history is intepreted in many diffirent ways! You must remeber this saying "Power never gives in without a fight".
Fight we MUST, to gain what is rightfully ours! Like, kicking SUPP away from Bidayuh majority areas, like Lundu, Bengoh and Serian. Those Bidayuh in SUPP are stupid soup tulang!

Who says that you have to lose your current job just to struggle for the community right? Within reasonable limit, no body will be so stupid. However if you push things way beyond reasonable limit, you can c get in trouble. The trick is to understand the limit of what we can do! And this is the problem. Most of us tend to assume that Pak Taib is dictatorial! Most of us assume that secret police are watching us day and night. Most of us assume that we cannot say anything against the government!

Well then. Here is some important fact!
Pak Taib is NOT a dictator!
He may be very serious with his underlings but he is a nice man! I mean MAN. An ordinary human being!
The secret police may be watching. Yes! But they are watching to ensure, PEACE, not to stop people from talking politic! If you are talking politic for racial peace and harmony, they will salute you. After all if you make their job easier, they will surely be thankful. Remember, they are also HUMAN being, NOT monsters!

So I hope hearsay, please don not frighten others by harping on ISA, lose of job, lose of life, because in the process you are scaring yourself endlessly! TQ!
